Different when I’m with the kids?

As I walk along with the kids in tow, dressed and looking the same as usual, you know the look dragged out of bed with just enough time to wash my face, brush my teeth and fix my hair in some form of messy mum bun, and SPF 50 on my face as always! I get smiles and good mornings or hellos, people appear to be happy, polite and acknowledge I’m a human but as soon as I drop the kids and dare to be alone I apparently turn into a lesser person? I’m ignored, walked into and seemingly looked down upon?

Give me a pram or a child to walk along with and I’m an the most approachable angel on earth but otherwise I’m Satan’s incarnation apparently.

Now deep down I know this can’t only be me but it’s baffled me for years, even before kids. Wearing my work uniform I was treated respectfully and with kindness, without like I’m something someone stepped in?

We live in a judgemental world which isn’t always perfect but I 1000% kindness goes a long way and everyone should always try to be kind.
